New chassis mock up. Uh-Oh. What did I get for my money?

After admiring the nice welds for a few days, I get my friend Roland Phillips to spray some satin black on the chassis and suspension components. Then I mock up the body on the chassis, and mock up a Buick 455 I had on hand.
The angle of the ball joints were worrisome.
Custom steering arms are always needed when using C5 spindles on a non-Corvette chassis.
Here is the 455 Buick with some Stage 2 heads, shorty headers, and downpipes I had laying around.  Also, I bought a new T-56 Magnum and Quicktime bell housing for BOP applications.
Surprise, the down pipe is too close to the bell housing.
I also noticed that the new steering arms did not sit flatly on the aluminum spindles. Everyone needs a friend with a mill.  Fortunately, my friend Cobb Ware has one.  We machined the mounting surfaces flat.

Before on the right, after on the left.
