Taking the plunge and making the purchase

I decide to buy the car from Dave.  Mike suggests $800, and we both agree.  A sad fact here is that this car was a nice running, all original California car that Dave had dropped off at a restoration shop in Phoenix, along with a $10,000 down payment.  After a year or two of no feedback, he went and found the shop closed, and the car in this condition.

Now the car is at my house in Ridgeland MS.  This is spring of 2011.  It was $900 for delivery (more than the price of the car)!
